No Nails, No Problem: How to Decorate Your Rental Like a Pro
Because your rental should feel as unique as you are—let’s make it happen!

Let’s be real—decorating a rental can feel like solving a puzzle with half the pieces missing. Beige walls, questionable light fixtures, and the fear of losing your deposit can make it hard to create a space that feels like you. Sound familiar?
I’ve been there too. When I moved into my first apartment, I was determined to make it feel like home—even without painting the walls or swapping out cabinets. Over time, I discovered so many creative, renter-friendly hacks, and I’m excited to share them with you!
In this newsletter, we’re diving into:
Temporary Wall Solutions: Removable wallpaper, Command strips, and DIY fabric hangings.
Furniture That Works Double Duty: Storage ottomans, foldable tables, and space-saving pieces.
Lighting Hacks for Renters: Plug-in sconces, string lights, and portable floor lamps.
Decorating Without Nails: Command hooks, leaning mirrors, and over-the-door organizers.
Adding Personality with Textiles: Throw pillows, curtains, and cozy blankets to transform your space.
Wall Magic (Without the Mess!)

Let’s face it—builder beige walls are the ultimate buzzkill. But before you start dreaming of bold paint colors, here’s the good news: you can still transform your walls without losing your deposit!
Removable Wallpaper: Peel, stick, and voilà—instant personality! Perfect for accent walls or even lining the back of bookshelves.
Command Strips: These little wonders let you hang art, mirrors, and even shelves without a single nail hole.
DIY Fabric Hangings: Grab a pretty tapestry or some fabric scraps, and use removable hooks to create a cozy, bohemian vibe.
Pro Tip: If you’re feeling extra crafty, try framing a piece of removable wallpaper for a chic, temporary art piece!
Furniture That Does It All

When you’re working with a small space, every piece of furniture needs to pull its weight (and then some!). Here are my favorite multi-functional stars of the show:
Storage Ottomans: A place to sit, a place to stash your stuff, and a coffee table? Yes, please!
Foldable Tables: Perfect for dining, working, or crafting—then fold it up and reclaim your space.
Sofa Beds: Because your living room can double as a guest room (and your guests will thank you).
I know small spaces can feel limiting, but with a little creativity, you’d be amazed at what you can do. Trust me—I’ve turned cramped corners into cozy nooks more times than I can count!

No Nails? No Problem!

Who says you need to hammer holes in the wall to hang your favorite art or photos? Not me! Here’s how to decorate without leaving a trace:
Command Hooks: Perfect for hanging lightweight frames, wreaths, or even small shelves.
Velcro Strips: These are a game-changer for securing picture frames, mirrors, or even lightweight decor. Just stick one side to the wall and the other to your item—easy to remove later!
Adhesive Mounting Tape: Sometimes called “gooey tape,” this stuff is magic for hanging heavier items like clocks, signs, or small shelves. It’s strong but won’t damage your walls.
Leaning Mirrors: Prop a large mirror against the wall for a stylish, nail-free solution.
Over-the-Door Organizers: Use them for shoes, accessories, or even pantry items—no nails required!
Fun Idea: Create a gallery wall using Command strips and a mix of frames, art, and photos. It’s renter-friendly and Instagram-worthy!
